What is the Life Time of your decals?

3-5 year is the life time for a decal. We suggest changing it within 2 years as the color of the vehicle or boat will change and oxidize and where the decal is applied won't so it's always a good idea to change it. If your vehicle or boat is covered or garaged the lifetime of the decals is longer. We have had decals last up to 10 years when well taken care of.

How do I apply Vinyl Decals?
Wet Application:

Make sure that the area is clean. We use Isopropyl Alcohol for this step. It removes any unwated cleaners and waxes. We have accessories on our accessories page to help you with the application process. Once the surface is cleaned, place a piece of Masking tape in the top left and right corners to hold decal in place. Measure to make sure the decal is straight moving the decal and tape accordingly. Tape the decal across the top length wise to create a hinge. Lift the decal up and remove the backing paper. Spray the decals and vehicle or boat with a solution of water and a few drops of soap. We use Dawn! Lay the decal down against the surface and begin to squeegee out the water from the decal. Wait a few minutes depending on temp (70 degrees is perfect) Peal the topping paper off the decal and wala...your decal is installed.

Dry Application:

All of our printed decals require dry installation. 3M has created a material with channels on the back that the air follows when installing. Creating a bubble free application. Using water will not hurt the decal if you feel more comfortable with a wet application.Make sure that the area is clean. We use Isopropyl Alcohol for this step. If you find a bubble in either application method you can us a small needle to poke removing any air that is trapped underneath. Work the air to the center carefully.

Where do I go to pick a Custom Font?

We use dafont.com.On their site you can enter your text and hit submit to see your text in the font selected. Let us know the name of the font or send us a link to sales@thegraphicsco.com
